RARE stunning Cross 22K rolled gold pen 1970s Jeweler's Series engraved flowers

For your consideration I have this lovely floral pattern 22K rolled gold pen from A. T. Cross. This was part of their "Jeweler's Series" and was engraved in several patterns in production and manufactured for just a couple of years in the 1970s. It is wonderful condition with a new blue cartridge installed.
Rolled gold it is a laminate, in which sheets of solid gold (usually between 12K and 18K) are fused to a base layer, normally of brass. The laminate is typically rolled out afterwards, hence the alternative term of "rolled gold" . It is much thicker and higher gold content than a plated layer would be. These pens are engraved after the gold is applied.
Don't confuse this Vintage Made in USA Cross pen to the modern cross pens. Modern Cross pens feel cheap compared to these vintage pens, Cross pens are now made in China and use much thinner less expensive electroplating. This one is a real vintage Made in USA model.
Would make a great gift, or perhaps as a present to yourself. A pen made like a piece of jewelry, but so much more useful. Box is not original.
