"Live at the Hollywood Bowl" is the third live album for The Doors and was released on Elektra records. The concert took place on July 5th, 1968, in Los Angeles, California. The live album from this iconic concert was originally released on video in May of 1987.
In 2012, the album was re-released by The Doors in a re-edit of the original release in 1968. The biggest difference between the two releases was the camera angles used during the video. The concert was filmed by 5 different cameras, therefore it allowed for fans to experience the concert from different angles for an all-new experience.
